Fetal and Infant Services
The Roman Catholic Church believes and teaches that life begins
at the time of conception and ends with ones death. An unfortunate
reality of life is that children, babies and fetuses die before
they can come to realize the fullness of life.
During any given month of the year, fetuses who lives ended without
fruition or explanation, are brought together at the mortuary and
a communal burial is held for them at the end of the month after
permission and participation from the families is secured. This
is done without cost. Our caring and loving funeral directors assist
families to properly grieve the loss of their loved ones.
Sometimes, small children are born then called back to the Father
before their lives are fully realized. For some, the date of birth
and the date of death, are sadly the same. Babies who die and never
leave the hospital are taken care of for a very small, nominal fee
at the mortuary and free of charge at both the two Archdiocesan
cemeteries.
